I could (almost) be his mother...

but whatever.

edward_rocks
and look, I have a pair of endpapers!

Today was the day, Twilight opened in theaters. My sister, my mom, and I took the afternoon off to meet Edward. It is unanimous, he is dreamy. I mean, he is a vampire, so he is not really 17!

My sister and I got so hooked on the books we decided in September to take off today and see the movie - which got my mom kind of interested. I have never been able to inspire her to read a book before but when we offered the carrot - "if you read the book, you can come..." SHE READ THE BOOK! and liked it! We had such a good time, not just the movie, though believe me, I will go to bed with visions of Edward and his sugarplums in my head, em...anyways, we also enjoyed dinner and some power shopping. We never have time for such frivolity as a trio, so it was an especially spectacular day. The only thing that could have made it better was if Hot Topic would have had some "Team Edward" shirts for us - I felt a hundred going into what felt like a gothy-teenager-store - but what won't we do for vampires?

And seriously, I have been knitting too. I finished my endpapers and have started a holiday gifty scarf...I really hope to start this advent calendar this weekend, perhaps using my Wollmeise sample skeins...hmm.

OMG, I thought I was reading a teenage girl's blog. :-p

But yeah, Robert Pattinson is pretty hot as a vampire (I thought he was kinda hot already as Cedric Diggory...but being a vampire just gives you that edge).

:-p

Between you and my boyfriend's daughters, you are almost making me want to read this book. And, by the way, what the hell happened to Moonlight and the handsome Mick St John?! Great photos! You three crack me up!

Hehe...this cracked me up! Looks like you guys had an awesome time. I've never read the Twilight books, but a couple of my friends have and they totally have crushes on Edward, too. :)

I love your Endpaper!!!

So, you're saying he IS hot enough? Because, as you know, I've been concerned he wasn't hot enough. I'm glad that he'll continue to fuel dreams of "sugar plums" :)

Sounds like a fun day!

Very fun! My sister and I went on Friday night after work. Much to our surprise we were the first ones in line for the 6:15 show:) That like never happens so it was sweet:) We ended up with mid center perfect seats!

The movie was great. The book was better of course but I have high hopes for part 2 and 3.

Oh forgot to mention that there were times during the movie that Robert Pattinson reminded me of GASP James Dean - super HOT!!!

sugarplums...*snort*

I'm going to have to pick up the first book to see what all the fuss is about -- it's almost as big as Harry Potter this week, lol.

LOVE the endpaper mitts. ;)

PS...isn't Hot Topic great? I learned long ago how fun they are, even if you haven't dyed, tattooed or pierced anything unusual. ;) I even bought a couple carebear shirts from there years ago -- not to mention several baby outfits!

And that's so fun that you went to see the movie...I read and loved the first book, still trying to decide if I want to go see the movie or not.

Oh, I so can't wait to see this movie! I'm deciding which girlfriend I'll have to talk into seeing it with me, since I'm the only one I know to have read the books. :)

Your Endpaper Mitts are so cute! I've been wanting to try that pattern, as well.

That sounds like the most lovely day ever! I'm resisting the Twilight, I am. It's very hard though when I read posts like these!
