another single sock?

Shazaam, another one.

els2

I finished a single Embossed Leaves sock today, a Project Spectrum offering - the EL really is pretty quick in spite of the lace pattern. I used Madeline Tosh Malachite - I love the dark color, though the pattern is a bit obscured. I found quite a bit of the dye on my fingertips as I knit along, so I am curious what a good soaking might bring, I'll keep you posted. It was a pleasure to knit up. I love the plain heel, with the garter edges...

I fully plan to get another one knit but for now I cast on a second Pomatomus, only one year later. Keeps the knitting more interesting. Seems I have a little harem of singles socks - eventually they will join the fold of pairs...for now I shall keep them single and available, makes them sound kind of racey, huh?

Very racy indeed! Love that Madtosh, and I don't find the pattern obscured at all.

I do believe "little harem of singles socks" is the best thing I've read this whole week. Your sock is beautiful, by the way.

Maybe we could turn this whole single sock thing into a courtship or something. When you are making the second sock, it could be the dating phase, there could be a sole-mate fest, pun intended, and then the wedding or mating (socks mate don't they)? Ha ha ha! High on wool fumes from the festival - can you tell?

Ooh, it's beautiful! And you didn't find the MadTosh too light-weight for the pattern? I have some in Jade that I'd love to make into ELs, but I'm worried they wouldn't fit. :)

Another gorgeous sock! Pretty color. And speaking of colors, what yarn is that Pomatomus in? It looks familiar...I'm wondering if I have that in my stash... :)

Gorgeous sock! I love the embossed leaf pattern. It knit up quickly for me for whatever reason. And that's always good!

Or you could send them all to your one-legged friend, Molly Bee! The ONLY good thing about having a cast is getting to actually wear your single socks! LOL! It's not a good enough deal that I recommend putting yourself in one though! Just sayin'. If you find yourself in the predicament...you're prepared!
