It's a Snow Day!
We just got over a blizzard warning here, near Madison WI. Me and my family are making the most of it, an unexpected day of no school + no work = jammie day! My husband is currently flopped on the floor, exhausted after snow blowing our long, drifted driveway. Luckily, it appears the worst is over and now it's just clean up. Cheers to our unplanned day to relax and recharge!
The day has also offered me time to work on some sewing projects - I am finishing up things for my Spicing Up The Kitchen swap partner.
She asked for a tea pot cozy - so I did a lot of guessing and asking around about sizing on that, then made a complimenting trivet/ pot holder. I may add one more thing - but for now, I feel like I have a great start. I just love the texture of all of that quilting with the linen.
It's also a good day for a little bit of eye candy as well...

Oh, such pretty yarn! The sewing projects look great -- so cheerful.
Chicago was pretty snowy too! I felt so lucky to be at home, warm and cozy. I'm still in my PJs.

Man, I missed that update, but that yarn is spectacular!
Beautiful quilting as well
love the fabrics you've chosen,Stacey
I love the fabrics you used for your trivot and tea cozy. That looks like some gorgeous smooshy yarn.
I know I should be happy to live somewhere undisturbed by blizzards and such, but I'm totally jealous of everyone's snow days! I love your swap items...great color combo!!
Ooooh, that is eye candy.
