What time is it?
Time for Project Runway!! Are any of you watching? Any stand out designers yet? It might be too early to tell, but I kind of like Christopher - week one's winner. We'll see - watching just inspires me to want to create something. It also inspires me to start a stockinette sock to work on while tuning in ::
Yarntini in Make it Work! and Carry On! inspired by the ever-charming Tim Gunn. Yarntini and I agree we would like to just watch Tim grocery shop he seems so darned nice.
I have also been working on my Wonky Log Cabin blocks for the ORBC quilt-a-long. The QAL is being lead by Quilt Dad - he is just awesome. I kind of wish I had a quilt dad, or a quilt husband - but then he would be in my stash - nevermind. Here is what I had as of this morning::
The fabric is Lantern Bloom by Laura Gunn. It seems crazy busy, but I think a solid sashing between the blocks will define them a bit. They are kind of addictive. I made 5 more today and figure about 4 more for a lap size quilt. This pattern eats up the fabric and I have scraps all over my sewing room.
I can't believe another weekend is already coming to a close. Fall is upon us and I love it! It time for apple pie, pumpkins and wind breakers. Not to mention fall TV - em, Curb Your Enthusiasm...
Have a great week!

love your quilt a long...and as far as TV...I don't watch much....so...don't know Project Runway:((...but I adore autumn!!
I like Shirin, I wonder how well she would do at mens wear though. Love the new blocks.
I'm loving Project Runway! And for fun, the model show right after!!!
Perfect sock yarn to knit away on!!
I am also enjoying project runway and I like the guy who dyed the dress in the toilet (although I don't approve of that), but Chris is good too! The quilt is great!
I'm excited about Project Runway and fall TV :) That's some pretty sock yarn! Are you going to use it together?
The quilt blocks look great! I'm sure they'll sew up into a fun quilt.
I don't have cable, so I'm not watching Project Runway (though many of my friends are addicted). I've pointed out to DH that I'd get more knitting done if we had cable -- but he's somehow not convinced!
Your blocks are gorgeous! Lovely fabrics and colours, can't wait to see more. Happy sock knitting. :)
Reminds me I need to catch up on some Project Runway - no cable, so watching on the internet.
Love the Yarntini colors! (and, also a Tim Gunn fan - he's the highlight of the show!)
YES I am watching! I think I like
Althea the best so far. If I had legs like that model, I would SO want her outfit from last week. I also agree about Tim Gunn...I think every place of business needs a Tim Gunn. His advice and constructive criticism are so fantastic...plus he seems like the nicest person ever.
i LOVe your blocks for the QAL. so nice! and hurray for scrap busting! i'm trying to do a bunch of that, too. before the scraps take over, LOL.
I love Project Runway! There isn't one stand out designer for me yet, but I love Epperson's phone call to his family last week!
Loving PR this season. I don't know if any one stands out just yet, but I'm keeping my eye on the petite girls. I think they have all the talent.
We don't get Project Runway. I feel like I'm missing out! :(
I love the Yarntini, and stockinette is perfect to knit during TV!
I am loving your wonky cabin blocks. I really need to get some Lantern Bloom fabric. I am not sure why I don't have any yet since I am such an impulsive obsessed fabric buyer.
:)
